Project Description
This is a complete library to parse and generate swf (Flash) files. It also converts to and from the homebrew 'Vex' format, which is used as an intermediate format. Vex can then generate xaml, and wmf files as well as swf files.

Currently supports swf files up to Flash version 8. This is a VS2008 project in C#. Includes Actionscript support (read and write, at the bytecode level). Also has a various side projects - xna experiments, swf to xaml conversion ("The Converted"), a swf dump tool, flasm support, a box2d code generator...

Created by Robin Debreuil over 2007 and 2008. Future plans include AS3 parsing and generation (which means swf 9 and 10 support), and to link it with the C# parser project (also hosted on codeplex).

Hello.Swf.Net great.No word in the dictionary can describe it.Thanks authors.I'm using Swf.Net with C # 2005.Can I write actionscript from swf.Net with C #?
I have a movieclip name: square and press the button: btn.
Can you give me a simple example of writing scripts for btn and square with C # + SWf.Net?
In cs3 only:
btn.onRelease = function () {
         square._x + = 20;
}
and script for the square:
onEventClip (enterFrame) {
    if (Key.isDown (Key.Left)) {
       _x + = 100;
    }
}

Please help me convert.Thank you.

Hi Pablo,

The latest version of the overall code would be in the GitHub version of the source (https://github.com/debreuil/Swf2XNA) I haven’t looked at the XAML part in a long time though, so not sure it is still working correctly for that (the SVG converter is no longer correct, but maybe XAML has been more backwards compatible http://blog.debreuil.com/?p=175).

Created Issue: Writes wrong size when creating compressed SWF files [27104]

In SwfCompilationUnit.ToSwf, it writes the wrong size if the flash file is compressed. It is writing the compressed size instead of the uncompressed size.

DecompressSwf is completely broken. It uses the wrong size for the decompressed file.

Here's the code I wrote to replace it:

That should all be working, I can have a look at the swf if you like... Are you just dumping tags, or is it the swf 2 xna part? (or maybe xaml?). Also is it swf v8?
